Application for Benefits

 

 

Purpose: To assist in the comfort, welfare, and rehabilitation of the soldiers of 3rd Infantry Division and Ft Stewart/Hunter AAF; injured and wounded in Operation Iraqi Freedom who have with their bodies answered their call to duty.

 

Organization: The Post 27 Purple Heart Committee has wide latitude to allocate funds or services based on the soldiers’ application and needs. Initial POC and verification is

Services: Individuals will be helped based on the needs of either the soldier or his family. Services or grants will be provided pertaining to the welfare of the family and the rehabilitation needs of the soldier that may not be provided by The Department of The Army, or the Veterans Administration.

 

Privacy: Respect for the dignity and privacy of the soldier and his family is a first priority of Post 27. Information collected is used by the Committee to determine an appropriate course of action based on the needs of the soldier and his family. Information collected is confidential and specifics will not be shared with any other group, agency, or organization (including the media, or even the membership at large of Post 27). Release of any information pertaining to an applicant will be done only with the express prior permission of the individual involved. Statistical data of a general nature (number of soldiers served, cost of program, etc) may be released to the general public through our web site at www.galegionpost27.org , through media press releases, and in fund raising efforts.
