Essay Contest

The  Annual American Legion Richmond Hill Middle School Essay Contest begins on Patriot Day (11 September), and all entries must be received by Halloween.  Winners will be announced in November. The topics are shown below:

•          6th Grade - 125 word Essay

–         How does the US Constitution affect me?

•          7th Grade - 250 word Essay

–         What is the price of Freedom? Who pays it?

•          8th Grade - 500 word Essay

–         What are the duties and responsibilities of citizenship?

Prizes Are:

–         Barnes & Noble Gift Certificates for 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place winners

–         Trophies for 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd, place winners

–         Essays designated ‘Honorable Mention’, will receive a Certificate,

–         All winners and special mentions will have their names on a certificate placed on the Middle School Hall of fame. 

-    Wining Essays will Be Published in the Bryan County News
